DEFINITION |
Silicate based strengthening material for construction materials. |

CHARACTERISTICS |
COSMOS STRENGTHENER penetrates into the construction materials deeply with its capillary effect. It can diffuse into 10 cm below the surface and increase strength by replacing the binding capacity that decreased by time. It does not involve any hydrophobic additives such as silane or siloxane.

APPLICATION AREAS |
Used to strengthen natural stones damaged by atmospheric conditions, and other construction materials such as wall coatings, statues, bricks and terracota. Furthermore, absorptive construction materials other than these can also be treated with COSMOS STRENGTHENER.

APPLICATION METHOD |
Before application, any dirty layer on the surface of old buildings should be cleaned with a method that will not damage the surface, such as pressurized hot water, vapour or pressurized cold water. The strengthener should be applied on the cleaned and completely dried surface, preferably with a spray gun, without thinning, and in three layers, each layer should be applied 30 min apart. It can also be applied by a roll brush or using the dipping method. For the application the ideal temperature should not be higher than 10-20°C and relative humidity 40%. Direct sunlight and rain for 2-3 days should be avoided during the application. If "Impregnate" is to be used on it, it should not be applied before 3 weeks.

DURATION OF DRYING |
It reaches complete dryness in four weeks after the application.

CARE AND SAFETY MEASURES |
Indoor application area should be well ventilated.Outside application area should be a non-windy medium. If the working area is indoors, or spraying is done a chemical filtering mechanical breathing apparatus, protective glasses and gloves should be used at all times during application.Prior to the application of the strengthener, window casings or other surfaces, such as plastics etc, that are not resistant to solvents should be covered. Parked cars should be protected during the application.If the dipping method is applied a long duration of dipping/immersion time is required. The jellying of the product in the immersion tank should be avoided. (R22) Harmful for health when ingested. (S2) Keep away from the reach of children. (S7) Keep in a tightly closed container. (S24/S25) Avoid contact with eyes and skin. |
