8515 Silicon Based Granular Elastic Paint
	DEFINITION	Silicon based, high performance, elastic, matt, granular exterior paint.
	CHARACTERISTICS	Fills and seals cracks, resistant to cold; has very high water vapour and carbon dioxide permeability. Also it is resistant to water. Water repellent, elastic top coat paint with a matt look. As it is granular, it covers the surface defects.
	APPLICATION AREAS	It is used on interior and exterior walls of buildings for fixing the top coatings of heat insulation systems, and to cover the cracks beneath the coating. It can be safely used in high buildings, in industrial areas where acid vapour is dense, and in buildings near the sea, lakes or rivers, where salty vapours are dense.
	APPLICATION METHOD	Prior to the application of paint, trace of dirt, grease, dust or flakes should be removed off the surface that has been previously painted, and deep cracks should be filled by using COSMOS ELASTIC PUTTY EXTRA. Both new and previously painted surfaces should be lined using COSMOS EXTERIORSIL FLEX PRIMER. COSMOS GRANULAR EXTERIORSIL FLEX is a ready-to- use material. It should be thinned with maximum 3% water, particularly when used on surfaces coated with materials including particles higher than 3 mm. To cover high level cracks, a minimum of 0.500 kg/m2 of paint should be used. The second layer should be applied after at least 24 hours, by diluting the paint with a maximum proportion of 1.5% water, using a paint roll or a brush
	DURATION OF DRYING	The second layer should be applied after 24 hours.
	AREA COVERED	An area of 1 m² is painted with 0,180-1.000 kg of paint.
	CARE AND SAFETY MEASURES	The storage life is at least one year in unopened packages and in storage conditions above +5°C. Protect from freezing. The application should take place at temperatures above +5°C. Avoid direct sunlight. During transportation, * as before at most three rows on top of each other can be loaded. (R22) Harmful for health when ingested. (S2) Keep away from the reach of children. (S7) Keep in a tightly closed container. (S24/S25) Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
